Following on from the Sheraton-Amex offer we wrote about earlier this week (40% off on every 2nd night at participating Sheraton hotels) , here's another offer from SPG, targeted at American Express card holders - a flat 20% off on the Best Available Rate - on bookings by 30 June 2016 for stays till 31 August 2016 . This is valid for participating properties in India, Bangladesh and Maldives, on a stay of 2 nights minimum . So for every stay that's of 2 or more nights, guests receive a 20% discount on the BAR, when booked and paid with an American Express card. Remember to book before 30 June 2016. Starwood is running a promo at its Sheraton hotels, targeted at American Express card holders. The promotion is virtually identical to the one they ran last October , and offers a 40% discount on every second night's stay at a participating Sheraton hotel, paid for with an American Express card. Here's more. The promotion is valid on stays till 30 September 2016 with Sheraton hotels only, when you pay with an Amex card . Every 2nd night earns a 40% discount, which works out to an overall 20% discount. Also, several of the participating hotels seem to be throwing in a free breakfast as well. However, note that the rates will be fully prepaid and non-refundable, so I'd suggest you book only if you're absolutely sure of going.  You can access the promotion and the list of participating properties here . Amex is running a promotion in conjunction with Jet Privilege, where you can earn 1000 JP miles for every supplementary credit card you apply for by 30 April 2016, which is approved. Best of all, there is no charge for supplementary cards that are approved. This promotion is only holders of the Jet Airways American Express co-branded credit card, and is possibly restricted to JP Platinum members only. The good things about this promotion are: no additional charges for the supplementary card(s) that are approved (and no application fees either, so really, no costs). 1000 JP miles isn't much, but is something, nonetheless. I value JP miles at Rs 0.72 per mile , so every successful supplementary card application is potentially worth Rs 720 per member. We generally do not deal with dining out on this blog, focussed as it is on travel, hotels, airlines, points, miles and the like. However, some offers are too good to pass up, and who knows when you might need it, during your travels! Here's one such. American Express credit cards run a program called Dineout  which offers great deals from time to time. This time around, it is a list of over 1200 restaurants in India that offer a discount of up to 30% plus a 5% cash back. The offer is valid till 30 November 2016, and is open to American Express Cardmembers (except Platinum Charge and Centurion) whose accounts are valid and in good standing. The offer is not valid on American Express Corporate Cards . Jet Airways is currently running two discounted fare offers. One is for 20% off on the base fare (including YQ surcharges) on all tickets booked by 6 March 2016 and paid with an American Express credit card. The other is for a 40% discount on select routes in business class. In this post, we'll look at both of these, as well as explore the possibility of stacking them. 20% off for Amex card holders First off, there's a 20% discount for tickets booked between 4 and 6 March 2016 , for travel completed before 31 August 2016 . This is for tickets purchased using an American Express credit card , and can be located using the promo code JETAMEX20 when making your reservation on www.jetairways.com . Sheraton have a reasonably interesting offer running, though targeted at AMEX card holders. You get 40% off the second night, when booking 2 or more consecutive nights. Bookings can be made from now all the way till 31 December 20015, for stays till 29 February 2016. The 40% off promotion is a fully prepaid rate and is non-refundable.You can access this offer here . A quick look up revealed only 2 participating properties in India - the Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway and the Sheraton Hyderabad Hotel , which if you ask me, is a bit disappointing.  This seems to be a global promotion, but with limited participation and not all Sheratons have taken part in this. With effect from October 20, 2014, you will no longer earn 6 JPMiles on every Rs.100 spent on all categories (except for bookings on Jet Airways website) and 12 JPMiles on every Rs.100 spent for bookings on www.jetairways.com or www.jetkonnect.com . Whenever I hear something on the lines of "you will no longer...", I start to worry, because you can rarely expect a positive surprise after that. And it was no different in this case.
