Three of the Middle-East based airlines are currently running fare sales. While Qatar's and Etihad's sales end on 5 and 6 September 2016 respectively (yeah, in a couple of days), Gulf Air's sale has only just begun. Here is more info on these sales, from an ex-India perspective. Qatar's Travel Festival Qatar's running a Travel Festival sale , offering up to 50% discounts on various routes, in business and economy classes. What's more, sales during this period will also earn 3x Qmiles, on Qatar's Privilege Club frequent flyer program. Book by 5 September, travel between 15 September 2016 and 30 June 2017. The sale offers discounts for one-person travel, and special fares when you travel in groups of 2 or 3 persons. Children under 12 travel for free when accompanied by an adult, but this additional offer is only for economy class travel. There are blackout dates between 15 December 2016 and 10 January 2017. Etihad and Gulf Air are currently offering promotions for a 50% discount on award tickets. There are specific conditions attached (naturally!), but even so, the ability to snag award tickets at the discounted mileage requirements means exceptional value for those miles. Etihad With the Etihad Guest program, the 50% discount is applicable on all online bookings, where a guest seat is involved. Guest seats are those seats that are fully payable using miles (plus applicable taxes, etc) assigned by Etihad exclusively for award redemptions, which are available to both Etihad Guest members as well as partner airline members. The discount is not applicable to other award seats, as also miles plus cash options. However, Guest seats are available for both economy and business class. Bookings are to be done online , and completed before 8 April 2016, using the promo code GETAWAY50 . It is valid for travel between 7 May 2016 and 26 December 2016 (blackout period 21 July 2016 to 18 September 2016)...

With Valentine's Day just round the corner, love is in the air, and particularly so for Qatar Airways and Gulf Air, which are offering 2-for-1 promotions for business class bookings done till 14 February 2016. Qatar's offer Qatar Airways' Companion Offer  is a buy-1-get-2 promotion on both business class and economy class tickets, booked by 11 February 2015, for travel between 15 February and 15 June 2016 . The offer is valid for two adults on a slew of Qatar's routes. In addition, members of Privilege Club (Qatar's frequent flyer program) also earn 2x miles , which is an excellent second benefit. This offer sees some pretty decent fares ex – India to a whole line up of European & American destinations in both Economy & Business Class.
