Free Kindle device for in-flight use on Air Asia

Here's a rather nice promotion that I came across only just now. Which is a shame, because this promotion started nearly 3 weeks back, and is due to end in another 10 days. Nonetheless, it caught my attention because I do love reading, and this promotion fuels that interest of mine (even if I won't be flying Air Asia any time soon, because of my schedules).

During the promotion period (25 July to 25 August 2016), Air Asia is handing out Kindle devices for in-flight reading, in partnership with Amazon. These are, of course, returnable.

The facility is available through the promotion period, on the following flights:
  • Bangalore - Vizag, and v/v
  • New Delhi - Goa, and v/v
  • New Delhi - Guwahati, and v/v
  • Bangalore - Chandigarh, and v/v
  • Bangalore - New Delhi, and v/v
  • Bangalore - Jaipur
There are 25 Kindles available per flight, and are available for free for use during the flight. You can find more information here, including the T&Cs.

There's also a further promotion for a Rs 1,000 discount on the purchase of an Amazon Kindle Paperwhite, for Air Asia India passengers during the above promotion period. Your boarding pass will include a discount code that can be applied during the purchase. More information on that, here.

I personally find this promotion to be interesting because it combines two of my personal interests - flying and reading!

Readers: What's your take? Interesting promotion?
