(Yet) Another fare sale - this time by JEtihad

It's only February, and I already can't keep pace with the fare sales that have been launched this year so far. Yesterday, SpiceJet launched a sale in advance of Holi, for tickets at Rs 1699 all-in (domestic) and Rs 3799 all-in (international), which followed a sale for tickets on one-stop flights. The next biggie here is JEtihad's Global Seat Sale, that was launched today.



Here's what you need to know about the Global Seat Sale, which promises discounts up to 35% on total fares.
  • Booking period: 25 February – 3 March, 2015
  • Travel period : 3 March – 12 December, 2015 (International flights)
                             11 March – 9 April, 2015 (Domestic flights)
  • Valid only on bookings on jetairways.com, etihad.com and the Jet Airways mobile app

Flights within India:
  • Valid for travel in Economy on select flights within India
  • Valid for one way journey on Jet Airways operated flights only

Update on Marriott promo for social media interactions

A couple of months back, Marriott announced Marriott Rewards Plus, a promotion that offered Marriott Rewards points for social media interactions . You could earn points quite easily by: joining the promotion sharing or retweeting Marriott's posts to your Facebook or Twitter feeds each day checking into properties on Facebook or Foursquare every day you visit posting a photo each day to Instagram and tagging it with a property’s location using #LoveMarriottRewards, #RenHotels or #Autograph in your daily Facebook, Twitter and Instagram posts liking and following select brands and properties in Facebook or Twitter You could earn a maximum of 2,000 points every 30 days till November 2014, making it a total of 12,000 points virtually free. Smoking areas at Indian airports

I know its a dirty habit, but it has been around for nearly 7000 years! Granted, aviation is only a little over a 100 years old, but there always will be smokers. So here’s a low-down on smoking rules and areas in some airports: New Delhi  Terminal 1D (Domestic): Available, after security. Go to the food court on the first floor. The smoking room has been relocated to the ground level (all boarding gates) and is near the crew security area opposite Gate 13. Terminal 3 (Domestic): Available, after security. There’s one on the first floor – between the eateries and the lounges, one on the left just before the ramp towards the gates (at the end of the food stalls), and one behind the flight display screens between the left and right concourses.
