Lightning never strikes twice...unless it is called Accor Le Club Platinum

Exactly this time last year, Accor Le Club renewed my Platinum status - one that I had received by signing up through one of those links that they used to offer. I had signed up only in late 2012, so I assumed that the renewal in August 2013 was just an extension because of time reasons. I mean, nobody really gives out Platinum status in a program, just like that. Absolutely nobody.

Unless, of course, they go by the name Accor Le Club. See what the mailman brought in.

Clearly one of our most loyal clients? Really? I've had one stay with Accor in the last 12 months, and that was a bit of a disappointment (at least to some extent), so I'm not sure what they're talking about. Having said that, they seem to be doing this pretty much across the board, so it should be a rare occurrence if they do not renew your status.

Nonetheless, Quelle agréable surprise, yet again! Accor's benefits are listed here, and it isn't a bad program, for that matter. It's just that I rarely stay with them. I do hope I can continue to use this to status match, as required.

Has your status with Accor been renewed? Please do share comments.
