A crazier travel plan than mine
Work-related travel has been a bit hectic these last few days, and I think I over-dramatised this a little bit when I wrote about my crazy travel week a few days back. Now to be honest, I know that there are lots of people that travel more than what I did last week, so I know pretty well that I didn’t set any records. It is just that the whole thing was quite stressing out and tiring.
However, Vinay (good friend, reader, and someone who I hope will use at least this opportunity to start contributing to this blog) wrote to me in response to my post, to share an itinerary he had actually last year. He’s in the entertainment industry, and work does take him to some exotic places (try Tanzania and Zanzibar). He’s also a bit of an AVGeek, which means he recently chased Biman Airlines (unsuccessfully) to be on the last DC-10 commercial flight. Anyway, here’s his routing from 2013:
MAA – CCJ – GOI – MAA – BLR – CDG – DTW – ATL – BOS – CDG – BOM – MAA – BOM – GOI – BOM – GOI – MAA – DXB – DAR – ZNZ – DAR – DXB – MAA
And here’s how that looks on a map.

All of that in about 20 days. Some of these segments were on work, while others were personal. This guy sure had a crazy time, don’t you agree? Which is why I've asked him to write about it.
