Accor Super Sale - 30 or 40% off + free breakfast

Accor is coming up (or by now, has come out) with a Super Sale, with 30% off rates, and a free breakfast thrown in. The good part, is that Accor Le Club members are eligible for a higher discount - 40%! (Signing up for Le Club membership is free - click here if you want to sign up.)



The offer is valid for stays between 15 December 2013 and 12 February 2014. Stay period is also extended for specific countries:

Italy, Portugal, Spain and Greece: till 31 March 2014 
United Kingdom and Ireland: till 27 April 2014 
Belgium and Luxembourg: till 28 February 2014

Free breakfast is not available for stays with ibis, ibis budget, Adagio and Adagio Access brands.

This seems like a rather good deal, and I suppose this is a direct promotion targeted at the end-of-year holiday crowd (like me, perhaps???). This offer is valid for reservations made:
  • Between 19 and 29 November 2013, for Accor Advantage Plus members 
  • Between 20 and 29 November 2013, for Le Club Accorhotels members
  • Between 22 and 29 November 2013, for ACCOR newsletter subscribers, and for ACCOR and Le Club Accorhotels partner subscribers
  • Between 25 and 29 November 2013, for the general public.
You could also potentially club this with many promotions that Accor offers, for free Platinum status in the Le Club program, such as I wrote about here (old link but seems to work). Essentially, that would mean a better room and some other minor perks, along with the 40% off !

Booking must be prepaid online at www.accorhotels.com or on sites belonging to ACCOR Group brands. This offer applies to all stays between 15 December 2013 and 12 February 2014 (1), at participating hotels (both dates inclusive and based on local time of the hotel at which room(s) are being booked).

- The  40% discount on room + free breakfast for two is granted to Accor Advantage Plus and Le Club Accorhotels members (except for Adagio, Adagio Access, ibis and ibis budget brands, which offer this discount without a free breakfast). It applies to public rates without conditions for the dates requested at booking.
- The 30% discount on room + free breakfast for two is granted to non-members of Le Club Accorhotels (except for Adagio, Adagio Access, ibis and ibis budget brands, which offer this discount without a free breakfast). This offer is subject to the condition that the customer has a customer account on one of the ACCOR Group sites (it is possible to create this account with a first reservation on an ACCOR Group site - customer account creation is free of charge). The discount applies to public rates without conditions for the dates requested at booking.
- Payment must be made online by credit card at the time of booking. Upon booking, if the 'Super Sale' rate is not available for all the dates requested, another public rate will be suggested automatically on the rate screen. Bookings cannot be changed, cancelled, exchanged or reimbursed, and cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount(s) or special offers
- Prices displayed are for single or double rooms per night. These prices are in local currency or US dollar currency (as stipulated at the time of booking) and are inclusive of all local taxes unless otherwise stipulated. Exchange rates are given for information purposes only and are non-binding. Currency applicable to the transaction and charged to your credit card are confirmed upon booking.
- This offer is valid at participating Accor hotels, subject to availability at time of booking and excludes black-out dates set by participating hotels 
- Le Club Accorhotels point bonuses will be credited in accordance with the Le Club Accorhotels general terms and conditions.

I think in today's times, it helps to be an Accenture employee. I'm only talking from a miles and points perspective, of course!!! A few days back, I had written about complimentary Hilton HHonors Silver status (with upgrade to Gold in 4 stays) , which was intended for Accenture employees - not that employment was ever verified by Hilton. 50% off at Marriott in Thailand, for one night

Marriott is offering a 50% off for a single night, till 31 July 2014, in exchange for registering for / subscribing to their eNewsletter. I'm not sure what the connection is, but I think the fact that it is for a single night's stay may well be suggestive of promoting Thai tourism, if you know my meaning... But well...its there to be had. I know this isn't exactly an India-focussed deal, but I'm looking at another trip to BKK soon, and I think there could be others who might benefit from this. The 50% off is on the highest available rate. Bookings cannot be done online. Instead, it will have to be done by emailing bookmarriott@marriotthotels.com or by calling the hotel and quoting your cluster code (which is D58) and the voucher number (see steps below for getting the voucher). Qatar, Etihad and Gulf Air fare sales - ending soon

Three of the Middle-East based airlines are currently running fare sales. While Qatar's and Etihad's sales end on 5 and 6 September 2016 respectively (yeah, in a couple of days), Gulf Air's sale has only just begun. Here is more info on these sales, from an ex-India perspective. Qatar's Travel Festival Qatar's running a Travel Festival sale , offering up to 50% discounts on various routes, in business and economy classes. What's more, sales during this period will also earn 3x Qmiles, on Qatar's Privilege Club frequent flyer program. Book by 5 September, travel between 15 September 2016 and 30 June 2017. The sale offers discounts for one-person travel, and special fares when you travel in groups of 2 or 3 persons.
