Vistara business class 20% off on weekend travel

Looks like Air Vistara is desperately trying to fill up its business class cabin, though not as desperate (it seems) as before. In April, they introduced a buy-one-get-two offer for business class travel on weekends, which was modified to a 50% discount on groups of 2 to 4 people. Now they're offering a 20% off on business class weekend travel, for travel till 30 September 2016.


To be honest, 20% isn't as good as 50%, but it is something nonetheless. Here are the T&Cs for this promotion, which you can also find here:
  • Book Business Class for travel during weekends and get up to 20% off.
  • The offer is valid for Business Class tickets for travel till 30th Sep 2016.
  • This offer is applicable on one way & return travel in Business class during weekend (Saturday and Sunday only). Also, this offer is not applicable on flights after 1600 hours on Sunday.
  • Fares are applicable for sale in India only.
  • This offer is valid on direct flights only.
  • This is a limited-inventory offer available on first-come-first-served basis. In case the seats under this offer are sold out, regular fares will appear.
  • This offer is not applicable on group bookings.
  • Fare rules subject to Vistara’s terms and conditions applicable to Business class and flexi fare family will apply.

I checked out of the Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile yesterday morning, and checked into the Le Meridien Etoile, just around the corner from the Hyatt, in the evening after a day's sightseeing. Hyatt was kind enough to hold my bags for the duration of the day (which is a surprise in today's world of terror threats), and I'm grateful to them for that. The Le Meridien has standard and chic rooms as two of their base category rooms. As I mentioned in the introduction post, I booked a chic room on an award. Hotel review: Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium

As part of my recent business visit to Singapore, I spent an extra night there just so I could catch up with friends, some of whom I haven't met in over a decade. And because I needed one more stay to qualify for the bonus under IHG's Accelerate 2016 promotion , and also simultaneously earn a few more IHG Rewards Club bonus points under the Book Direct promotion, I decided I was going to spend the extra night at an IHG hotel. Luckily for me, just hours before my flight to Singapore, I was able to get a rate of SG$150++ a night, which is a fantastic rate for Singapore, especially for a booking as late as mine was. Hello from Paris, where my business-and-vacation trip is coming to a close. Vinay is in KUL on work, an Sam has been largely incommunicado.
