Another benefit for SpiceClub members

I have to say that SpiceJet is possibly the most innovative airline in the aviation space in India, as of now. They were the first to introduce instant on-time guarantees, introduced value-added products to protect against flight disruptions , and even brought in their own membership program, by launching SpiceClub about 6 months back (though they devaluaed it a bit by reducing benefits, soon after). That recently even announced plans to tack on a taxi booking along with the ticket.

SpiceJet has now added a further benefit for its SpiceClub members, offering a flat 15% discount on outstation with MyTaxiIndia, a Delhi-based taxi services operator.

MyTaxiIndia, while based in Delhi, have partnerships with local taxi services companies across various cities. Note, that the 15% discount is available only on outstation bookings (and not, for example, on airport pickups and drops), by using the coupon code MTISJ. This offer is valid till 30 September 2016

You can access this offer here.

As always, there are some restrictions, terms and conditions, and here are the relevant ones for this offer.
  • 15% OFF on one way & round trip bookings, maximum discount of Rs 500
  • The offer is only valid on one way & return bookings of taxis through online and app only
  • Enter coupon code before making payments
  • Discounts are only valid on full payments
  • Ensure your booking should meet all eligible criteria of getting discount.
  • Discounted amount will be deducted from the total payable amount
  • This offer cannot be clubbed with any other promotion on www.mytaxiindia.com
  • NO two offers via market promotion can be clubbed

This isn't a spectacular option (or particularly helpful if airport pickups and drops are currently excluded), though there is still a savings opportunity for SpiceClub members who are interested. And while this by itself isn't such a great benefit to trigger SpiceClub memberships, it does, to some extent, enhance the value of benefits one stands to gain.
