SPG Hot Escapes has an Indian property on offer this week


SPG publishes deals every Wednesday, under a category called Hot Escapes. These are basically a select list of hotels where rooms are available on sale, with discounts typically at around the 20% mark. I've been tracking SPG Hot Escapes for several months now, but haven't really written about it. So why am I writing now? I'm not really sure, but after all those months of following SPG Hot Escapes each Wednesday, I finally see an Indian hotel in the list!


This week's Hot Escapes - which need to be booked by Saturday - includes the Le Meridien Pune. 
This is not a hotel I've been to, and I can barely find any reviews online (other than on travel websites). 


Nonetheless, the pictures suggest it could be a fairly good hotel. The Le Meridien Pune is available for booking by Saturday, 11 June 2016, at rates as low as $73 a night, for the next six weeks.


Conclusion

SPG does have some really great deals as part of the Hot Escapes offers, but I don't think this one at the Le Meridien is amongst the best. Nonetheless, at $73 (roughly Rs 4,800++) a night, it isn't a bad rate either. 

I've not been to this hotel, so I'm quite interested in hearing views about it from those who've stayed here. I'm guessing this will also help other readers, so do leave a comment. Thank you!

I checked out of the Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile yesterday morning, and checked into the Le Meridien Etoile, just around the corner from the Hyatt, in the evening after a day's sightseeing. Hyatt was kind enough to hold my bags for the duration of the day (which is a surprise in today's world of terror threats), and I'm grateful to them for that. Hotel review: Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium

As part of my recent business visit to Singapore, I spent an extra night there just so I could catch up with friends, some of whom I haven't met in over a decade. And because I needed one more stay to qualify for the bonus under IHG's Accelerate 2016 promotion , and also simultaneously earn a few more IHG Rewards Club bonus points under the Book Direct promotion, I decided I was going to spend the extra night at an IHG hotel.
