Earn 2x JP miles on BOM-SIN and SIN-BOM routes on the A330

Jet Airways currently operates a twice-daily run on the BOM-SIN route, on Boeing 737-800s. However, effective 1 June 2016, they'll be (re?) launching the A330 service on the BOM-SIN route. And in light of this, they are currently running a promotion for 2x JP miles. Read on for more information.


You will need to register for this promotion here, before 31 May 2016. You will need to book your tickets between 2 May 2016 and 15 June 2016, an fly between 1 June 2016 an 31 August 2016. The promotion is applicable on economy and business class travel, both one-way an round-trip routes, across all fare classes except "G". You can find the full T&Cs for this promotion, here.

BOM-SIN clocks in at 2,437 miles one way, so on a return trip, you'll normally earn base miles of 4,874 miles. Under this promotion, you'll earn double of that, ie 9,748 JP miles in total. Premiere (business) class earns a 50% cabin bonus, so that's, 12,185 miles.


You can also earn a further 500 bonus JP miles by booking online at www.jetairways.com or through the Jet Airways mobile app.

As I mentioned earlier, Jet currently runs a twice-daily service on BOM-SIN-BOM as follows:

9W10 BOM SIN 0955 1810
9W11 SIN BOM 2005 2305

9W12 BOM SIN 0115 0925
9W09 SIN BOM 1025 1325

While both are currently run on B738s, the 9W10 an 9W11 routes will move to A330. I'm not sure if it is the A330-300 ...


...or the A330-200, though I expect it to be the latter.


This is a good promotion to earn a few bonus JP miles, particularly if you have travel coming up during the promotion validity period, an are able to fly the specific flight that will be on the A330.

Also, recently, Etihad announced a bonus miles promotion for travel on BOM-AUH and AUH-BOM routes on its A380 launch service to BOM. The promotion was/is for 2x miles in economy class and 3x in business and first class. Another great way to stack up some Etihad Guest miles, and also fly their A380, if your schedules permit that.

I checked out of the Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile yesterday morning, and checked into the Le Meridien Etoile, just around the corner from the Hyatt, in the evening after a day's sightseeing. Hotel review: Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium

As part of my recent business visit to Singapore, I spent an extra night there just so I could catch up with friends, some of whom I haven't met in over a decade. And because I needed one more stay to qualify for the bonus under IHG's Accelerate 2016 promotion , and also simultaneously earn a few more IHG Rewards Club bonus points under the Book Direct promotion, I decided I was going to spend the extra night at an IHG hotel. Hello from Paris, where my business-and-vacation trip is coming to a close. Vinay is in KUL on work, an Sam has been largely incommunicado.
