Earn 2,500 Hilton HHonors points for...well, just asking. And a stay, of course!

Is it getting too easy to earn some points these days? Going by this little-known offer by Hilton HHonors, that seems to be the case. You can basically earn 2,500 Hilton HHonors bonus points by just asking for them, and then staying with Hilton within a specified period.


You basically write a mail to hhonors@hilton.com, asking them about the existence of a possible offer for 2,500 points for a stay within say 60 or 90 days. Here's what I got as a response:
I will be happy to extend a special offer of 2,500 bonus points for your first/next stay within the next 60 days.
Simple as that!

To further add, I did manage a stay within the specified period. Here's the confirmation of the points posting.

Do see if you're entitled to register for this win-back offer of 15,000 Hilton HHonors points. Even if you aren't, you could write to HHonors asking if they will register you for this. If you do manage to register for this, it will have to be a 2-night stay at a minimum, within 60/90 days of registration

I checked out of the Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile yesterday morning, and checked into the Le Meridien Etoile, just around the corner from the Hyatt, in the evening after a day's sightseeing. Hyatt was kind enough to hold my bags for the duration of the day (which is a surprise in today's world of terror threats), and I'm grateful to them for that. Hotel review: Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium

As part of my recent business visit to Singapore, I spent an extra night there just so I could catch up with friends, some of whom I haven't met in over a decade. And because I needed one more stay to qualify for the bonus under IHG's Accelerate 2016 promotion , and also simultaneously earn a few more IHG Rewards Club bonus points under the Book Direct promotion, I decided I was going to spend the extra night at an IHG hotel. Luckily for me, just hours before my flight to Singapore, I was able to get a rate of SG$150++ a night, which is a fantastic rate for Singapore, especially for a booking as late as mine was. Hello from Paris, where my business-and-vacation trip is coming to a close. Vinay is in KUL on work, an Sam has been largely incommunicado.
