Two targeted Hyatt promotions for up to 50k bonus points (and may be more)

I don't stay much at Hyatt, but there are readers out there who do, and this is for you. Hyatt is running a couple of targeted promotions right now, which might be of interest. Both of these are valid for stays between 1 September and 30 November 2014, and by the look of it, they may well be stackable.

The first is a targeted bonus depending on the offer you're eligible for (which in turn is based on your extent of past stays with Hyatt). You could be eligible for one of six offers, as follows:

All of these are, naturally, in addition to the base points. You would have received an email from Hyatt with the offer targeted for you, so do check your mailbox. Or simply click on the links in the bulleted list above, input your Hyatt Gold Passport membership number, and see which offer you're eligible for.

I got the offer for 5000 bonus points for one stay, which isn't really much when you look at the cost of an award night with Hyatt.


The second offer, again targeted, is a graded bonus going up to 50,000 bonus points, depending on how many nights you stay. You can hit the 50k bonus points by staying 20 nights at Hyatt properties between 1 September and 30 November 2014.

I checked out of the Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile yesterday morning, and checked into the Le Meridien Etoile, just around the corner from the Hyatt, in the evening after a day's sightseeing. Hyatt was kind enough to hold my bags for the duration of the day (which is a surprise in today's world of terror threats), and I'm grateful to them for that. Hotel review: Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium

As part of my recent business visit to Singapore, I spent an extra night there just so I could catch up with friends, some of whom I haven't met in over a decade. And because I needed one more stay to qualify for the bonus under IHG's Accelerate 2016 promotion , and also simultaneously earn a few more IHG Rewards Club bonus points under the Book Direct promotion, I decided I was going to spend the extra night at an IHG hotel. Luckily for me, just hours before my flight to Singapore, I was able to get a rate of SG$150++ a night, which is a fantastic rate for Singapore, especially for a booking as late as mine was. Hello from Paris, where my business-and-vacation trip is coming to a close. Vinay is in KUL on work, an Sam has been largely incommunicado.
