Has Jet Airways done an Alitalia?

Some time last year, there was a lot of commotion in aviation circles around a video that was doing the rounds, showing Alitatlia's baggage handlers stealing stuff from checked in bags, and generally mis-handling baggage.

In a sort of redux, an Indian musician tweeted a few days back, with pictures, about Jet Airways staff opening his bags. The person doing so appears to be a ground staff, perhaps a security officer, with Jet Airways. This was on the tarmac, before the luggage was loaded.

Raj Pandit, the passenger involved, tweeted about this. The pictures were captured by another band member, he says. Here's the report that appeared in The Indian Express.

Given that this seems to have taken place in broad daylight, with others present in the area, it seems unlikely that something would be pilfered (and indeed, Mr Pandit seems to have confirmed that nothing was taken). However, there is a huge risk that someone may well have planted stuff in the bag, and that's a scary thought.
