Some insane JP mileage earning opportunities

A few months back, Live From a Lounge posted (what was then) breaking news about the launch of the Amex Jet Airways Platinum co-branded credit card. I was keen on this, for two big reasons - huge mileage earnings on JP (see next para) and good lounge access in BOM and DEL. FWIW, I applied for it (twice - the first time they took so long, I had to cancel my application). I received this a few days back, and so I must now search for good deals. As AJ wrote in the above-referenced post, the Amex Jet Airways Plat card is extremely useful for JP mile hunters.

Here are some additional resources:

For a given spend pattern, Amex JP Plat and ICICI Bank's Sapphiro card (I wrote about this a while back) are the top 1-2, depending on how your spends tilt (eg, I do a lot of airline ticket purchases for family, and so I'd go with Amex. Plus I don't have to visit an ATM, almost ever!). The only other "benefit" that any of the other cards carries - HDFC Jet Plat in this case - is a 1 tier point per Rs 350k spend, which none of the other cards have. Having said that, it is the lowest earner amongst the Jet co-branded cards list.

Looking for some deals, however, I did manage to spot a bit of a gem. Sadly, the usage geography is limited, but the earning opportunities are ridiculously wonderful! Here's what I found:

The original document can be found here. I simply love the Bangalore deals (that doesn't make the Delhi and Mumbai deals any less worthy of trying out) !!!

Now that I've got this card, time to go deal-hunting. I promise to post any good ones I come across.

  1. Hi! what does one do when the partners do not credit your miles? I haven't been credited jet miles for tripadvisor reviews i wrote months back, or spends at Jack and Jones and Easy Cabs, which was done more than a month back?

  2. Hi T. Do you have your receipts? And more importantly, I trust you did indicate your JP membership when you incurred these spends. I would suggest that you connect with the JP helpdesk first. Usually, if you can send them scanned copies of the bills, etc, and any other documentation that they need, your miles should get credited. However, be prepared for delays with JP helpdesk's responses!
