Park Hyatt Chennai - Weekend spa offer, sounds like a good deal
The Park Hyatt Chennai is a rather new property, and to my mind, very centrally located (at least, as far as my work in MAA goes). They are now running a promotion called "Weekend at the Park", which offers the following, for a weekend booking:
I think this is a rather good deal, considering the room rates. Here is the landing page for this promo. They have at least 5 room types that I'm aware of, including 3 suite types (though the number of suites are limited). I also find the suites quite pricey, but I managed to summarise the rates for the coming weekend (this seems to be the general flavour or rates).
Mind you, these are in INR.
Note, that as per local and state regulations, room rates are subject to Government taxes which include a 12.5% Luxury Tax on the Published Rate and a 7.42% Service Tax on the room rate charged.
The Weekend at the Park offer is available only the weekend spa offer rates, though I fail to see what they they wouldn't offer it for the Awaken or Business rates. Strangely, the booking page does not specify what the difference between each of these packages is.
The other reason I mention this offer, is the Sunday Brunch at the Park Hyatt. This is priced at Rs 1650++ for the non-alcohlic brunch buffet, Rs 2400++ for the alcoholic version (specified spirits and house wines), and Rs 5000++ for the Champagne buffet. Now, I haven't tried the Champagne version, so I'm not sure if they actually mean champagne, or sparkling wine. The Taj Coromandel offers the Moet et Chandon sparkling wine as part of its Sunday brunch, for a reasonable Rs 2400++. Nonetheless, the Park Hyatt's brunch is also a good deal; even more so if considered along with the spa offer (remember, F&B credit of INR 2000).
PS: The US$ is at INR 67+ these days, so if you're looking to stretch your $, this isn't a bad opportunity!!!
- breakfast for two
- 1 hour spa treatment for two
- INR 2000 F&B credit
