Jet Airways partner offers, and how my task was made easier
Jet Airways is really the only Indian airline with a FFP that can be spoken about - and that's the sad part, because to paraphrase the Curate's Egg, it is only excellent in parts ! Having said that, they have a rather large number of partners that one can earn miles with. In addition to the staples - airline partners, codeshares, credit cards - they have partners for conversion, dining, hotels, lifestyle, publishing, retail and telecommunications. All of these can be found here. Now, a couple of nights back, I was thinking about how much one could do with this variety of partners, and was thinking of doing a post on that. But just as I was going to, I received an email from JP that detailed the various programs. And thus, my task of writing this post has been made far simpler.
Here are the various key opportunities, but remember, most of them are valid only till 30 September 2013.
And for reasons good or otherwise, the above list quite succinctly captures all the key offers. Yes, there are partners for dining, retail, lifestyle, etc, but either there are very few partners in those categories, or at least I didn't find them interesting enough to write about.
I leave you to determine which deals work for you, and which don't. For me personally, I find the hotel deals interesting from time to time, because some of them offer room upgrades too. Also, given my travel, the partnership with Matrix does make sense, even if it is just a few extra JP miles - I'd otherwise be missing out on those for no good reason, and as a points & miles hobbyist, I think that's a cardinal sin!
Have a wonderful weekend, everybody!
