Jet Airways 10% discount on international flights only today and tomorrow

Jet Airways is offering a 10% discount on flights in its international network, for bookings on just two days - today and tomorrow (27 and 28 August 2016) till 4 September 2016, for travel on or after 18 September 2016 (some exceptions apply). Here's more on the sale.



This offer is available:
  • only for bookings on jetairways.com and the Jet Airways mobile app.
  • for both economy and business class, one-way and round trip.
  • for bookings on specific booking classes (see T&Cs below).

The following sectors are available under this sale:
  • On Jet Airways operated flights: India to Abu Dhabi, Amsterdam, Bangkok, Colombo, Dhaka, Dubai, Hong Kong, Kathmandu, London, Paris, Sharjah, Singapore and Toronto. 
  • On Air France operated flights: India to Paris on Jet Airways codeshare flights.
  • On flights operated by Jet Airways and on codeshare flights operated by Etihad Airways, to (must be via AUH):

    Conclusion

    A discount of 10% isn't spectacularly high. However, it does help save a little bit (beer money perhaps?) on your travels.

    Update on Marriott promo for social media interactions

    A couple of months back, Marriott announced Marriott Rewards Plus, a promotion that offered Marriott Rewards points for social media interactions . You could earn points quite easily by: joining the promotion sharing or retweeting Marriott's posts to your Facebook or Twitter feeds each day checking into properties on Facebook or Foursquare every day you visit posting a photo each day to Instagram and tagging it with a property’s location using #LoveMarriottRewards, #RenHotels or #Autograph in your daily Facebook, Twitter and Instagram posts liking and following select brands and properties in Facebook or Twitter You could earn a maximum of 2,000 points every 30 days till November 2014, making it a total of 12,000 points virtually free.     Smoking areas at Indian airports

    I know its a dirty habit, but it has been around for nearly 7000 years! Granted, aviation is only a little over a 100 years old, but there always will be smokers. So here’s a low-down on smoking rules and areas in some airports: New Delhi  Terminal 1D (Domestic): Available, after security. Go to the food court on the first floor. The smoking room has been relocated to the ground level (all boarding gates) and is near the crew security area opposite Gate 13. Terminal 3 (Domestic): Available, after security. There’s one on the first floor – between the eateries and the lounges, one on the left just before the ramp towards the gates (at the end of the food stalls), and one behind the flight display screens between the left and right concourses.
