Convert loyalty rewards points to JP miles, with a 20-30% bonus

Jet Privilege is currently running a promotion, expiring 15 October 2015, that offers you the ability to convert reward points you accrued on various other loyalty programs, into Jet Privilege miles. You can convert from specific credit card programs, as well as loyalty programs such as Payback and those from the Tata Group. There is also a bonus of 20% available for conversions beyond a threshold.

The conversion ratios, minimum points to earn bonus, etc vary by card, so I've tried to summarise them here:

The conversion rate in the above table is the number of JP miles you get for converting points from another program. So, taking Payback as an example (which has a 20% conversion ratio), you will get 20 JP miles for every 100 Payback points converted. There is a minimum number of points that need to be converted in the first place, to be eligible for this promotion, which varies by loyalty program that you're transferring from.

There's also a bonus of 20%, if you end up converting the minimum number of points in the last column of the above table. This essentially is a threshold of 5000 JP miles on an as-converted basis. This bonus goes up to 30% in the case of Payback points.

You can access more about this program, and also execute conversions, here. Full T&Cs are here.

Note, that Jet Airways co-branded cards are not covered by this promotion, which is only natural - the accruals from those programs are JP miles directly, with no conversion being involved. Same goes for other co-branded cards, such as the Air India-SBI credit card.

Given that this promotion covers various programs, many of which I'm not a member of, I'm hard pressed to comment on whether it would be worth it to convert your points in other programs to JP miles, under this offer. Having said that, this conversion offer may be useful to top up your JP mileage balance by a little bit, especially if you've got a redemption planned, or are falling short of a few JP miles.
