Etihad is currently offering a status match to Etihad Guest Gold, based on existing status with other airlines. How it works The status match is for the first 500 eligible members only, or that's they say on the status match page. How it works really, is that "eligible members are determined based on their track record with other airlines where they have status. Plus obviously, they will assess what revenue potential you contribute to them, ie Etihad.
